Laurel Bauer
Outdoor /Physical Education & Fourth-Fifth Grade Team Teacher

Laurel was born and raised in rural New Hampshire. She spent her childhood playing all sorts of sports: soccer, ice hockey, lacrosse, skiing, dance, track and the list continues. In college, while studying Environmental Studies and Sociology, she found a love and passion for the outdoors, and learning about environmental issues.

After graduating, Laurel worked at the Berkshire Outdoor Center (MA) teaching children leadership skills. After leaving her job in MA, Laurel hiked 600 miles on the Appalachian Trail through Vermont, New Hampshire, and ended in Maine before moving to New Zealand for 7 months to teach environmental education/leadership.

Laurel moved to Seattle in 2016 and has worked at both UCDS and in Bellevue at The Little School. Laurel is super excited to be at KapKa teaching with the 3-5 team, teaching PE, and heading Lunch Play.
