Blossoming academics and social understanding

In our second- and third-grade programs, our dynamic team of teachers nurtures your young student as their academic skills blossom into deeper understanding alongside their increased ability for focused practice and investigation. This is true in their social world as well, as teachers support and foster social and emotional growth in friendships and in the group.

Your student will look inward as they develop skills of reading, writing, and mathematics, as well as exploring the sciences and social studies - and begin to understand themself as a learner. Having a growth-mindset is emphasized throughout all aspects of the day, as your child develops skills in all arenas - using the tools, supports, and challenges that are appropriate for them.

Your child will also look outward to their peers, teachers, family, and their greater community at school and beyond - to gain an appreciation for a diversity of thought, perspective, culture, and identity.

Your second and third grader becomes ready to not only investigate how things work, but to challenge their assumptions and learn that there can be more than one right answer.
